    Observations 20 Jan 2010-Part 1
    -----------------------------------------

Cosatrak 1 (Computerised satellite Tracking System).
Camera mount now carries two systems that can be operated
together as two totally different sytems and computers used.
Generally the DSI Pro II camera will be used for high altitude
    slow moving objects.

MINTRON low light level CCD surveillance camera (0.005
lux typical in non integration mode) and 0.00005 lux in STARLIGHT
    mode with 128 frame integration.
Used with ~100mm focal length f/2.8mm lens, integrating for 128 fields
which is equivalent to a max exposure of 2.56 seconds per image.
    Field of view 3.2 x 2.8 degrees.
Individual frames are video time stamped with GPS derived signal.

Site 0433 : Longitude 18.51294 deg East, Latitude -33.94058 deg,
Elevation 10 metres-situated in Pinelands (Cape Town),South Africa

    Notes:
    ==========
    (1) Transparency poor - bit windy at start of session.

    (2) USA 89 rocket first seen as an unidentified and measured as such.
Later observations when looking for USA 89R showed it running about
        85 seconds late.

    (3) Cosmos 2309 nice variable, mag +4 to invisible, regular period about
39 seconds, range 22952 kms. GLONASS satellite.

    (4) DASH/VEP3 brief brightning to mag +7 then faded out

    (5) GSLV R/B range 6640 kms.

    (6) Both STSS Dem satellites bright and steady

    (7) The CCD observations will follow tomorrow- about 12 satellites.

    Cheers
