I don't seem to remember that one. Can one of you give the issue date,
and maybe page #?

That raises a question. What is the first satellite we ever saw?
My first was Sputnik 3 Rocket about 6/58.

>Can someone who has used QS and the programs available from the BWGS

I use QUICKSAT almost exclusively (I also use HIGHFLY). Mike has been
extremely cooperative in adding enhancements that I requested. (Are 1/2 the
modifications things that I asked for)? So naturally I feel this is the
best prediction program around. Aside from graphics, which I like but are
not needed for predictions, is there any feature in any other program that's
not in QS? There are many features in QS that are not anywhere else. Great
job Mike!

As to finding sats, I use the star atlas method. Note the approximate spot
on the map, aim binoculars at that area in the sky, listen to shortwave time
signals, and wait for the passage. I find this the fastest and easiest way
to spot sats brighter than mag 9.

I had some favorable replies to my suggestion of everyone posting GIF
pictures of themselves here. To clarify, I did not mean 'here' in
seesat-List. I agree this list should just be for current news and
comments. Pictures, very long files, etc., should be sent to Bart to be put
in the archive. They are then available permanently, and only those who
want them can get them. Others are not bothered with long files that they
may not want.
