Hello,
Yesterday the 17th I was able to observe the latest Progress M42 with its
tumbling rocket.
No exact timings were made because of difficulties with twilight.
At 2045UTC the Soyuz U rocket(99-38B) was observed with a maximum magnitude
of 0 at a hight of only 190km.
With a flash timing quicly made I measured a total time of 12.73s with a
first flash timing of 3.26s and a second flash timing of 3.75s. There was
one flash missing, which is characteristic for Soyuz U third stages.
At 2100UTC Progress M42(99-38A) was observed with a maximum brightness of
mag +1.
The following transit I didn't see both objects but they went early into
shadow and a large wall was obstructing my view.
