    No question is stupid, it's help you to learn stuff by asking them.
    
    Early Geo satellites have used that "spin-stabilized " mode for attitude
    control
    
    For example the boeing 376 series of spacecraft used it

    Today's newer geo satellite used a different method, because of the large
