First a off topic message. This morning, the moon occulted part of M45, a deep sky object. I was able to see 3 bright stars reappear. While I had observed the planned for pass of Cosmos 1420 across the moon, I observed another satellite pass across the moon later. Ah nice unplanned for treat. Time inserter not used, as my garmin gps16 receiver went dead:( I have ordered a new one, as it nice to have the time displayed on the video. Meteor 1-25 ( 08845 ) http://www.kfetter.com/satvideo/sat-transit/08845.wmv Time of transit was predicted to be 8:49:19 UTC ( July 20 ) Satellite was predicted to be in the Magnitude 7 range at the time, making it easy to spot. The sun was 8 degrees below the horizon at the time. So my first bright twilight event, not bad for a unplanned event. Cosmos 1420 was fainter, and so I won't post video of it. Only easy one's to spot are added to my site. Kevin 44.6062 N 75.6910 W __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? Tired of spam? Yahoo!
