Since I had to work last night, I decided to run a search for Milstar 2
I had tried to see it, the other night using this intergrated orbit
Milstar 2
1 23712U 95060A 08192.56613728 .00000000 00000-0 00000-0 0 06
2 23712 7.4382 67.1645 0007880 194.9628 165.0258 0.99037047 08
But nothing was seen
So I picked a bright star located at
RA (J2000.0): 19 13 15.52
declination -12 16 57.0
As milstar 2 would pass near it
And had the mount track, so that it would somewahat keep it in the feild of view. It worked ok, not the best.
I then played back the video, and a bright unid satellite passed within 1 degree of the above star. It passed to the south of it, at around 6:44:20 UTC ( July 10 ) give are take.
So far I don't get a match with anything. If I allow for some error's, milstar 2 might be a match.
I expected milstar 2 to be bright, as it passed by the area, just as the unid was.
So please double check, incase I missed something.
I can try and measure positions, of the unid.
