I observed CENTAUR R/B on July 6 at approximately 1:30 a.m. UTC from
Emerald Isle, NC, US (34.675535615565884,-76.95820969536616). It was
unusually bright, and based on nearby Vega I place it at a +0.1 magnitude.
But based on info I see at heavens-above.com, should have been 2.4
magnitude. It also passed just under Vega rather than over it as the data
shows. Any idea why the discrepancy?
