I need to clarify that when I wrote, "I believe this (14037J / 40077) to have been the 3rd stage of the Soyuz 2-1B
rocket", I was referring to the 14S54 stage, which I have seen referred to as either the 2nd or the 3rd stage, depending
on how the four booster stages are counted. It carried the stack into a low parking orbit, from which it decayed. The
Fregat stage separated from the 14S54, and deployed the payloads into their various orbits. I assume that the Fregat was
de-orbited soon after the final payload deployment.
