On June 3, 1998, 8:17:25 MST (4 June 1998 03:17:25 UTC) I observed the first of three flashes from Iridium 11. The stopwatch timed intervals between flashes were 5.30 and 5.62 seconds, thus the average measured interval between flashes was 5.46 seconds. The estimated magnitudes and UTC time of day as measured by stop-watch referenced to WWVB, and corrected for my estimated reaction time of 0.25 seconds were as follows: mag. UTC (4 June 1998) -1 03:17:25.44 -1 03:17:30.74 +1 03:17:36.36 The above times were measured with reference to WWVB and are believed to be accurate to well within +- 1.0 second. -- Frank Reed Scottsdale, Arizona, USA 111.898W 33.484 N 1227 feet
