Hello everyone.

There were clear, haze-free skies tonight but enough ambient light to make a
12 deg elevation observation difficult. I observed what I belived to be Mir
as it passes over Cass. at 21:18 EDT (01:18 UT). Nothing else was visible
using 12x50's. I continued to scan until I reacquired the Mir a few degrees
below Deneb at 21:20:10 EDT (01:21:10 UT) and observed STS-91 ahead of Mir,
easily in the FOV of my 12x50s. At this point there were in the NE, 10 deg
about the horizon. Mir was about a 1.5 Mag, STS-91 about a 2.5 mag. I timed
the separation at 9.5 seconds. STS-91 was slightly below the Mir.

There's one more visible pass tonight - at 22:35 EDT (02:35 UT) with a
predicted earth shadow exit near beta-UMi 2 minutes later.

Cheers.
