Koos,
As you can see  ETS-6 was in shadow at the time of the 5 minute brightning
mentioned for 1931UT on March 31. It is possible the association is a coincidence,
and that phenomena was another satellite. It seems  a similar description to
reports of a similar evet seen over parts of North america, the weekend before last,
and widely reported on seesat. That turned out to be a GPS satellite I think from
memory[ 20,000Km circular orbit 55 degrees to equator]. Some more detective work is 
needed.
