I have been having trouble accessing the GSOC Iridium flare
pages over the last few days. Is it just me or has anyone else
been having difficulty?

By way of introduction to the list, my name is John and I've
started watching the flares over the last couple of weeks. I
have a couple of dark sky sites that I visit on a regular basis,
so I've been reading my way around the web pages, picking software
and starting the learn the ropes of the hobby.

I had my first flare (a -7 !) pointed out to me after a planetarium
show in San Diego, one of the folks there had a printout of the flare
data, went home and did a search and found the GSOC site, which pointed
me to this list.

A group of my neighbors gather a couple of time a month out on a
helipad in the Santa Ana mountains and spend the evening watching the
sunset, drinking cocktails, and watching for meteors. We see many
satellites fly over and I look forward to being able to tell which
is who.
