Yes, I was a member. I too then moved to Kentucky (London), where I was
reintroduced to the hobby. Now I live in Tucson. The skies were darker
in KY. The Akron Astronomy Club is very much alive and well. Take a
look at Jeff Medkeff's Focal Point in the current Sky & Telescope.
