Here is a spacecraft to watch for a short time in earth orbit.

On July 1 the contour spacecraft will be launched into a approx 200 km (124
mile) by 115,000 km ( 72 000 miles ) orbit. It will orbit the earth until
Aug 15, when it leave earth orbit, to start its orbits used for its comet
mission.

It will slso make 4 earth swingby's to adjust it's orbit.

Here are the planned dates and how far away it will be/

Aug 15, 2003 58000 km
Aug 14, 2004 40180 km
Feb 10, 2005 218,770 km
Feb 10, 2006 30000 km

So something to attempt to watch or capture on ccd.

Kevin
