    This looks like the Bugbear worm which  "steals" email addresses from the
    address book of the infected computer. It is likely the latest variant
    which is doing a lot of damage.  It  attempts to disable anti-virus programs
    among other things.
    
    It goes without saying never to download an unknown attachment, and to keep
    anti-virus software up to date and run a check frequently.
    
    Fixes are available on the Symantec site and maybe others (not checked.)
