FWIW, while getting ready for work yesterday, I realized that I had not included the time with the position of the Progress! (This is one of those "still up at 4:00 a.m. local time" errors I tend to commit.) The rough position I got for the Progress was: > RA 8:37:59, Dec +64.8 (2000). The time was about 3:28:27.8 June 9 UTC. Quicksat gives me these predictions using the same elements: 3:38:27 RA 8:38, Dec +65.0 3:38:28 RA 8:41, Dec +65.3 So it seems the prediction I had was reasonably close, though it went into the Earth's shadow a little later than I thought: 3:28:35 shadow hgt 1 mile RA 9:12, Dec 67.0 3:28:36 shadow hgt 0 mile RA 9:16, Dec 67.2 Ed Cannon - ecannon@mail.utexas.edu - Austin, Texas, USA New URL - http://wnt.cc.utexas.edu/~ecannon/satellite.htm ----------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe from SeeSat-L, send a message with 'unsubscribe' in the SUBJECT to SeeSat-L-request@satobs.org List archived at http://www.satobs.org/seesat/seesatindex.html
