As a matter of interest a search on Cosmos 2238 yielded posts from Bjorn Gimle dated 1 December 1994 http://satobs.org/seesat/Jan-1995/0009.html and 6 December 1994 http://satobs.org/seesat/Jan-1995/0016.html Interesting background even though the object in question now seems to be something else. http://www.tbs-satellite.com/tse/online/sat_cosmos_2238.html provides some statistics. Other listings on this site may provide some info on other satellites which could assist in ID. The EORSAT listing was publicly available but RORSAT requires subscription.
