Hi all, Just before local midnight, while imaging geosats, I noticed a bright (mag 0) object low in the south. It mildly flared at about 21:56:38.8 UTC. It turns out to have been UARS (91-063B). The flare occurred at the time the sun-satelite plane lined up with the observer (me). Rich batch of geosats and stray LEO sats on the images, including USA 202 (Mentor 4), Mentor 2, Milstar 5: and a brightly flaring geosat I still have to identify. Position measurements will follow tomorrow. - Marco ----- Dr Marco Langbroek - SatTrackCam Leiden, the Netherlands. e-mail: sattrackcam@wanadoo.nl Cospar 4353 (Leiden): 52.15412 N, 4.49081 E (WGS84), +0 m ASL Cospar 4354 (De Wilck): 52.11685 N, 4.56016 E (WGS84), -2 m ASL SatTrackCam: http://home.wanadoo.nl/marco.langbroek/satcam.html Station (b)log: http://sattrackcam.blogspot.com ----- _______________________________________________ Seesat-l mailing list http://mailman.satobs.org/mailman/listinfo/seesat-l
