Just to add confusion I've come across a report from the Russian Defence
Ministry (I believe it was) that claims FSW came down in the northeast
pacific. This came via CNN. I also note that a Japanese agency (NASDA??)
estimated re-entry as being in the NE Pacific region, just prior to the
actual event. (Source Reuters).
