SeeSat-L,

I apologize for being off-topic before I ask this question... I was in a
disscussion about jets being catapulted from the flight deck of an
aircraft carrier and how many g's they pull when they takeoff like that..
Somehow the Space Shuttle sliped in there, and someone asked me how many
g's the Space Shuttle pulls when it is in the launch phase, I told them it
pulls about 3 g's during the ascent into orbit... The question is am I
right? The person I was talking to said they pull 9 g's during launch,
and I find that hard to believe because the G Force meter on the shuttle
only goes up to 4 g's...

Please answer in my personal mail the list doesn't need to hear about the
space shuttle anymore. :) Thanks,

-*-*-
