Portions of 25 US states are on the NOSS 2-3 R/B ground track
in the hours leading up to its decay. Florida is first at 1:03am
EST on Friday morning, March 12. The track runs from St.
Petersburg to St. Augustine.

South Carolina is grazed at 1:04:30 near Myrtle Beach.
North Carolina is entered right at the South Carolina and
Atlantic Ocean intersection. Wilmington and Greenville are
southeast of the ground track. Southeast Virginia is
entered at 1:05:30; Newport News and Norfolk are very
close to the track, which then follows the Del-Mar-Va
peninsula. The track is right over Rehoboth and Dewey
Beach, Delaware, at 1:06am.

The track then follows the coast of New Jersey for 30
seconds (it passes right over Atlantic City) and heads
out over the Atlantic just offshore from Asbury Park and
Long Beach, NJ.

Long Island, New York, is crossed just before 1:07, somewhere
around Amityville and Deer Park. It heads across Long Island
sound and enters Connecticut at New Haven. Hartford, CT,
is just to the northwest of the track at 1:07am.

Worcester, MA, is on the centerline 15 seconds later. Boston
is well east of the track, but the elevation angle will still be
very high from anywhere in Massachusetts, Connecticut or
Rhode Island.

Southeastern-most New Hampshire is next in line about
1:07:30; Nashua, NH is on the track; Manchester is just
northwest of it. Finally, Maine is traversed from about
Sanford to Houlton from 1:07:30 to 1:08:30.

Next message: the track from Texas to Michigan, 90 minutes
later. --Rob
