I reported a possible COMETS flash at: ] 4:19:49.2 March 12 UTC, APPROX. RA 09h 00m, Dec +6.5 ] (2000). Observing location was 30.2934N, 97.8959W, ] 180 m. I forgot to mention that the two flashes we saw were about as bright as nearby Procyon (alpha Canis Minor), which is +0.4 magnitude. One other thing is that on Mark Wade's Encyclopedia Astronautica, COMETS is called Kakehashi.
