    Hello all

Thank you for the many and varied responses I received.

Consensus appears to be that the object observed was either a meteor or a
    fireball.

Lynda is happy that she is not going nuts and I am extremely jealous because
I have watched the skies for years and have never seen anything like it.

From now on it's "eyes up and looking".

We'll be watching for more of anything and report anything strange.

    Thank you all - Steve
