    Yes!  My website does this and you don't have to know the general sky location:

    Currently it only goes down to mag 9 which isn't enough for most through-the-scope
    shots but is enough for a field of view of 10 degrees or more.  The website appears
    to only go to mag 8, but you can just change the 8 to a 9 in the URL.  I plan to go
    to mag 13 but have been lazy about downloading and parsing more stars.  If more
    people start using the website I'll get motivated again.
