    Thanks.. When I read it (later at home offline) maybe it'll help with an
    issue I had.. 
    
    Measuring a known Classified, then an Unknown, then another known..
    
    When doing the latter, the designation would not change in the reduction
    line, and I had to close and reopen ObsReduce.. 
    
    I suppose I could change and just do the unknowns last, but it's preferable
    to do them in order, especially when the unknown is in the same FOV as the
    known object and ObsReduce is already showing that star field.

    *alias* works as you described, and a COSPAR like 99000XXX with a SSN=0
    works.
    You don't have to investigate further (and I have usually used a
    SkyMap prediction of other objects in the area/time frame to get a
    starting map in ObsReduce)
