    I was reading

    http://gigaom.com/2012/08/27/how-iridium-took-a-chance-on-spacex-and-won/

    It says

When discussing Iridium, Desch never fails to mention that the satellite constellation has become an object of obsession among star gazers. All of Iridium’s satellites have flat, door-sized, highly-reflective antennas. When those antennas catch the sun’s rays just right they produce a “flare” 3o times brighter than Venus in the night sky.
