Dear All,

we have just released a new version of Time-the-Sat app. Following the
received so far, this new version includes new functions and options, in

1) Four NTP pools have been added to the NTP list. The pool should
automatically provide
a NTP server close to the user location.

2) One item of the NTP list can be now edited by the user (the 5th item);

3) The program runs also without Internet connection. In this case the program
will use the last saved time correction;

4) The time correction is saved either on user request or exiting (properly)
the app;

5) The list of times is retained also when the application is closed. The user
has to manually
clear the list through the specific menu command. This is useful when the
Internet is not available
during the measurement session and the user wants to perform the time
correction later;

6) The synchronization is performed only on user request.

In the previous version, the list of times could be saved to a local file
(folder  /mnt/sdcard/timethesat)
or shared with other installed applications.

In this new version, the list can also be uploaded to SatFlare server. When
the app is installed, an ID
is generated and shown just above the user coordinates, in the main screen.
This ID is used
to identify the user measurements and for querying the SatFlare DB.

A button named "Time-The-Sat" has been added to the time control panel of the
online tracker
of SatFlare. Through this button the user can access to all the times saved on
the server,
and automatically set the tracker simply by clicking on the list.

I hope these new changes will be useful to all of you who use the application
every day, and
to those who want to use this application during the incoming occultation or
Regulus as well
( http://occultations.org/regulus2014/ ). If necessary, we can also add
specific functions to collect
times generated during this event.

The application can be downloaded from the following link:

The times you upload on SatFlare site can be obtained using the following
query page:
