Since it has been out of operation, ALOS (2006-02A) is showing spectacular brightness variations and even appears at times like "a serial flarer".

I have been studying its periodic variations for 2 years.

Last year, I found that the period was shortening at a rate of about 1 second per month.

However, while in July 2013 its period was still of 33.8 seconds, I measured it photographically at only 19.8 seconds on 28 MAR 2014.

As a consequence ALOS deserves more attention, I mean.
