SatEvo decay list #6 (issued 1996 May 26)
Here are my updated SatEvo decay predictions. The "Actual?"
decay times are estimated from the final available elements.
# Designation Name ------ Decay ------
Predicted Actual?
23849 96- 23 B Priroda R May 19.07
23559 86- 17 JF GFZ 1 deb May 19.28
23872 96- 32 C IAE (see note) May 22.44
11791 80- 32 B Atlas F R May 22.54
13786 83- 6 B N-2 R1 May 27.1
18978 63- 14 DR Westford Ndles deb May 27.5
23459 94- 87 E SL-12 R aux motor May 27.6
20042 89- 41 C Ariane 44L R June 12
23583 95- 20 C Progress-M 27 deb June 18
23462 95- 1 B Atlas 2AS Cent R June 19
23508 95- 8 D Cosmos 2306 deb June 24
23024 94- 14 F SL-14 deb July 3
23557 86- 17 JD GFZ 1 deb July 8
18277 71- 3 C SL-3 deb July 23
Note: There is a report that NASA claim the IAE decayed on May 22
at 09.30 UT (ie May 22.396) over the Atlantic. My SatEvo
analysis suggests decay should have occurred a little later,
though not as late as May 23.437 which I quoted in error in an
earlier posting :( ^
