Say goodbye to Superbird A

Hi All,

Superbird A is getting tough, at only 18 degrees above the horizon for
southern California.  I managed to time its flashes last night for about
5 minutes.  Peak was on-time at 9:22pm PDT (Wed, May 6).  Flash
period was measured to be 23.236 +/- .016 seconds (full period).

Times and cities for tonite's (Thu., May 7) flashes:

9:21pm PDT  Redding, CA
9:21:30  San Francisco, Sacramento, Reno
9:22  Monterey; Ogden, Utah
9:22:30  Fresno
9:23  Bakersfield
9:23:30  L.A., Orange County, Barstow, Las Vegas, Salt Lake City
9:24  San Diego, Needles, Lake Havasu City, Flagstaff
9:24:30  Yuma & Phoenix, AZ
9:25  Tucson, AZ

Flashes occur in the vicinity of NGC 2301.  --Rob
