Hi All,
Clear weather finally allowed some satellite watching
last night. Superbird A flash peak was on time at
6 May 20:59 PDT (7 May 3:59 UT) with peak flashes of
at least magnitude +3. Measured flash period was
23.12 +/- .02 sec. PPAS report:
Superbird A (#20040):

Right at the end of Superbird's flashes, I picked up a very dim, slow
moving satellite going left to right through the head of Hydra. A
SkyMap search today reveals that it was NOAA 2 (#06235). The
predicted magnitude was only +9.4, but I estimate it was 2
magnitudes brighter than this. --Rob
