Hi Everybody,
After a week of poor weather I was finally able to get some
observing done last night.
I managed to make a long timing of the flash period of the
geoflasher Raduga 27 (21132 / 91-014A). Timed 20 periods (T=1785.5s+/-0.1s)
giving a flash period of 89.278s. I observed from 20:30UT to 21:02UT (I
will sent the exact timings to BWGS-PPAS later). Flashes were very bright
at least mag +5, with occasional ones probably a magnitude brighter. I
didn't check at earlier or later times if the satellite was still visible,
but throughout the observing period the flashes remained at a similar
brightness.
Anyone else managed to observe this satellite in recent days?
Best wishes & clear skies,
Jason
