Hi all,
I posted a wrong start-of-observation time for the gorizont 23 satellite, as
indicated in an earlier post. Here is the corrected time. I promise :)
sunday 9th May 1999
00:05:41.2 UT
Flash period stays the same as in earlier post.
As for the unknown high satellite I saw the same evening, here are the
numbers :
Location: 51ø 10' N 2ø 57' E
Time: May 9th 1999, around 00 h 14 m UT
At alpha Canes Venatici, going to the right in the telescope, which means
from North to South
period: from 20 to 40 seconds, 2 or 3 flashes seen.
Its rate of movement was rather slow, one flash traversing a bit more than
half of the 0.5degrees field of view.
I'll try to ID it myself tonight, but after failing to ID 99-12E, my
confidence is down :)
Mike
