I get this question from time to time: "how many satellites are there in space" I know that number is huge and how many one sees is dependant on how sharp ones eyes are, the darkness of the sky, etc., etc. If someone could provide me with a guesstimate of how many satellites the average person can see from a mag 4 sky, an idea of how many satellites reach 6 mag, and how many satellites there are currently in orbit, I would be most appreciative. Thanks in advance. David Dodge H.R. MacMillan Space Centre 1100 Chestnut Street Vancouver, B.C.
