Observed at my target stars at 2:44:06 UT on 30 Nov 98. The time posted
was about 6 Seconds earlier than predicted and on track using this elset
(SatEvo generated) and Skymap.
I did not make a positive magnitude estimate but it was perhaps 7.
It was not difficult sighting it on a high elevation pass despite
the nearby gibbous moon. It is still rotating.
Used 7x50 binoculars, reclining in a lounge chair using a nearby pine
tree to provide shading from the moon glare.
If you have ever wanted to see a Molniya, you have a few days until this
one decays. Be sure to use an elset close to your observation time as
posted by Alan or use his Satevo program .
