It appears that I have been able to match Jim's observations to my old flash
    model for ETS-6.

Most observers should have opportunities for 1-power flashes from Eridanus
to Lepus; if the back sides are also reflective they may also appear in
Canis Major. There is scarce old evidence for a third surface that I have
called 'C' - it may have reflections in Cetus.

If the model is correct, there are also flashes over large "circles" across
the sphere. To find predictions for a few days around 01-11-17, download
deepsky.txt from my home pages http://www.algonet.se/~b_gimle/ETS-6.htm
(copy your old SkyMap version first, if you have one, or download into
    another directory).

You can replace your original SkyMap file, or just the first line, by this
file, or just use its RA(h.h) / Dec (d.d) / "mag" values to plot manually.
Mag. 0.6 means observed flashes, 3.6 hypothetical back side. Set your
deepsky (F8) to On, and mag. limit accordingly.
