Notes:
~~~~~~~
(1) Following still to come - hopefully tomorrow:
USA 32(2 passes), USA 160 rocket, DMSP F15, MSX, Noss 2-2 triplet
and #90013
(2) Whilst waiting for 84-65C a flashing possibly geostationary satellite
was observed. I timed the flashes observed from 18h02m22.6s to
18h05m00.4s UT and obtained a period of 2.505 seconds. I then tracked
84-65C but when I returned to the geostationary position some time
later I saw nothing. The object flashed to about magnitude +06.5
and was only visible in one video frame per flash and flashed every
62 to 63 video frames. The following are observations of its position:
18h02m00.0s UT RA 22h44m18.6s, Dec +05d09'53" (J2000)
18h05m00.4s 22h47m20.5s +05 09 43
I dont think any significance can be placed on the slightly
different positions.
(3) As usual the TIPS position is the centre of the tether. Quite a nice
position as both masses where bright.
(4) The last position of 96-072A has the satellite in shadow, hence its
faintness.
(5) USA 89 rocket looked for -4 to +4 minutes but nil seen. If its one
of those rockets that only brightens for a few seconds every few
minutes then my chances of seeing it are remote - it has to brighten
whilst Im looking at it-- similar to USA 40 rocket tonight.
(6) #90019 not seen but suspect I was a little too late in looking for
it - thats the problem when there are too many satellites!
Cheers
Greg
