    Intelsat 1R ( 26608 ) easily reached naked eye magnitude tonight.
    
    I observed it, using a handheld night vision scope I have.
    
    What a great way, to celebrate 10 years of it being in orbit, as on Nov 16,
    2000 it was launched on a Ariane 5 rocket.
