Hi Charles

Grab a DSLR (need to ensure you can focus it with some sort of focus 
feature in realtime) Canon's do this (no sales pitch) with a fast lens 
and aim toward the GEO belt.  You will see a lot no matter the sky as 
long as the clouds are not opaque.  You can find cheap 70mm f1.4 lenses 
that will rock your GEO/HEO world for a couple of hundred $.
