FYI - just a note to record that the BBC in the last 24 hours have been reporting an air-sea rescue search off the Scottish Island of Lewis after several witnesses reported seeing what they thought was a mid-air collision. According to the news no aircraft were reported missing in the vicinity and authorities suspect that the witnesses may have seen the re-entry of some vehicle/debris. From the timings involved (of the appearance of the news report) it would appear that the event occured between 1800 and 2300 UTC, Saturday 26th October in the region of approx. 59 deg. N, 7 deg. W. -- Neil Clifford <n.clifford@physics.oxford.ac.uk> http://www.physics.ox.ac.uk/sat/satintro.html
