Ariane 502

The Ariane 502 test flight took off this morning at 0843 UTC after a
43 minute delay due to payload telemetry problems.

This vehicle is carrying the ODD orbital debris calibration device which
a group of amateur observers are hoping to observe and feed data back to
ESA. If there are any 'latecomers' to seesat-l who are interested in
participating in this (note you will need a good observing location and
equipment - read reasonably large amateur telescope - to have any chance
of spotting the objects which will probably be somewhere in the mag.
