Hi Andre and all interested,

I did find out from the following URL that it will launch from 100
nautical miles off the Florida coast from an L-1011 at an altitude
of 40,000 ft. The article was not more specific about the exact
direction off the coast where the launch will occur. The article
also indicates that this will be the first Pegasus launch staged
from Cape Canaveral.

This is the first time that I've ever heard of a Pegasus launch from
Cape Canaveral (and I don't see any more launches listed for the
future either). I was wondering first of all how far from the coast
the Pegasus will be when its engine starts. But most importantly, I
was wondering if anyone who has had experience observing Pegasus
launches could give me some insight as to the visibility of it. >>
