Hello all,

Interesting note;

Due to the extra power associated with the Ariane 42L, the 3rd stage rocket
body may deorbit on the first rev perigee as it did during a similar launch
for Intelsat 803 in September 1997.

The reason for this occurance is that the 42L is more robust than other
Ariane vehicles.

Therefore, when it preforms its standard collision avoidance maneuver (CAM)
around perigee, it MAY actually decay.

Launch is scheduled for Wednesday, October 28th at 2215 UTC carrying
AfriStar and GE-5.
