Thanks everyone for the reponse to my report. One thing that I should clear up is that whilst the object was at least 2 degs in length , it also "slid" across the sky .Part of my view was shielded by the house , but to give an impression of what it looked like I have put a rather crude animation at the top of my website http://www.satcom.freeserve.co.uk ......the centre of Pegasus is marked . I really did expect reports to come flooding into SeeSat and other lists , as this seemed too big to be a localised sighting , but so far no one else appears to have seen it. As I first mentioned , it had the appearance of a "moving" Iridium flare. In addition , I have managed to squeeze another animation into my ever reducing webspace , showing the Hotbird cluster over a period of about 80 minutes...this one can be found here http://www.satcom.freeserve.co.uk/geos.htm (bottom of the page) Thanks again , John. ----------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe from SeeSat-L, send a message with 'unsubscribe' in the SUBJECT to SeeSat-L-request@satobs.org List archived at http://www.satobs.org/seesat/seesatindex.html
