As is now probably well known the actual decay did not occur over here. However http://www.rentrynews.com indicates that there is a strong possibility that we or maybe Australia could have been on the debris path. It was unwise for me to advertise to the world at the time that I would actually be away from home on the date in question. Although my temporary location had very good skies with no light pollution, unfortunately it was not convenient for me to observe at the time of interest. I took a look out a little afterwards and saw a few fuzzy clouds which certainly could not be related with any certainty to anything other than weather. I have not seen or heard any reports which would indicate sightings or the location of debris (though who knows what might be found in the future!)
