Cosatrak 1 (Computerised satellite Tracking System).
Camera mount now carries two systems that can be operated
together as two totally different sytems and computers used.

Meade DSI Pro II Monochrome CCD camera without filters.
using integration times of 5 sec min to 25 seconds maximum
depending on brightness of sky in particular area.No image
processing done, but some done automatically in the auto reduction
    software.

Used with 4 inch SKYWATCHER refractor- model 1025 - fitted with home
made focal reducer to give an f/2.56 system. Image scale is 6.56 arc
    sec/pixel and field of view 84.8 x 63.2 arc minutes. Shows 15th
magnitude stars in real time with reasonably good conditions.

Visual observations made with ~100mm fl f/2.8 Nikkon telephoto
lens fitted with MINTRON surveillance camera and individual frames
    GPS time stamped.

Exposure time to nearest second inserted into image FITS header
from PC clock which is automatically checked every minute against
GPS signal for images taken with CCD camera.

    NOTES:
    --------
    (1) Prime purpose was to observe some satellites that needed observation.
Due to premature stop as a result of thick mist not all achieved :-((

    (2) VORTEX 6 is now at a new location - wonder when it will move again.

    (3) As Peter reported PAN appears to have settled down in its new home
        for how long ?

    (4) The two STSS DEM satellites appear to have reached operational
        angular spacing.

    (5) #23893 (NOSS 2-3A ) had to be tracked with the CCD camera as too faint
for the video system so timing accuracy +/- 1 second hopefully.

    (6) #90070 running early - track is a mixture of video and CCD
        observations.

    (7) #90046 running close to time - again a combination of video and CCD
        images

    (8) Attempted first pass of USA186 but only reached maximum elevation and
area in mist. Second, higher elevation pass, totally misted out.

    (9) Image reduction was a combination of automatic APEX and manual ME.

    Cheers
    Greg
