I was looking at Comet Hartley this morning when a
satellite crossed the cometary cloud, travelling roughly
from north to south.  The satellite was flashing irregularly
but did not drop below observable magnitude.  I was
using 10x50 binoculars in clear, dark skies.

I checked Heavensat, using the full elements set
from Space-Track.org, but none of the satellites
in the area matched what I saw.

This transit took place at 5:22:10 AM EDT (give or take
    five seconds).  My location is 35.9410 N  80.4090 W.
The transit location was inside Auriga, at roughly
    42 N and 5h 20 m
