Assuming the stating point was, say, 5 deg below Cassiopeia, and the end point 10 deg elevation in the NNE, then the object traversed roughly 55 deg. A satellite re-entry would have taken on the order of one minute to cover that distance. The reported duration of several seconds to perhaps >10 s, could only have resulted from a meteor.
