-- Notice to Satellite Watchers in Southern U.S. --

It looks like Tuesday morning may present a good opportunity
for those in Texas, Florida and the Southeast to see Space
Shuttle Endeavour in tandem with the Wake Shield Facility!
Could be an interesting sight to see... although I don't
know how bright the WSF will be, nor how far it leads or
follows Endeavour in the sky.

I believe the schedule for STS-69 is to retrieve the SPARTAN
satellite on Sunday, release the WSF on Monday and retrieve
it on Wednesday.

For those that may not be familiar with the WSF, it is a large
flat disk that flies some distance away from the Shuttle in a
face-on attitude. The disk pushes what few air molecules are
present in its path out of the way, leaving a much more pure
vacuum in its wake. Thin-film experiments will be conducted
on the wake side.

Please share any observations you make here! And please, no
excuses about 5 AM being too early to wake up :)
