Hi, I live in the Wash., DC (USA) area and am new to this mailing list.
I have been using PC orbital tracking software for a long time trying
to track the Mir or STS but only recently I have become more interested
in visually observing satellite passes over Washington. I wonder if
anyone could direct me to some documentation/files on the net which
could provide me a broader insight and understanding related to observing
satellites. I am especially interested in tracking and observing
military (spy) satellites. I regulary download Ted Molczan's sat
elements, but since the list is so comprehensive I am unsure as to
which exact ones are ELINT. The only ones I am aware of so far (having read
the comments and observations in Molczan's elements file) are
Lacrosse, NOSS, KH and USA. I am aware of a lot of COSMOS ELINT satellites,
but once again there are far too many of them for me to know which one
is which. Any additions to this list will be most appreciated.

Thanks very much.
